What do you do with your pure shea butter?

I bought some from the flea market a while ago but I haven't really used it. It's yellow and doesn't have that shea butter smell (you know the one products with shea butter in them always has). Whats with that random smell? It doesn't stink but it doesn't particularly smell good either. It's soft but it's kind of clumpy. I'm not sure what do with it? What do you do with yours? How do you use it? Alone or do you mix it with something?

I use it in my face, elbows and feet. I also put it on my ends and put it in a bun with some wheat germ oil.

I use it on my face & body, and I mix it with almost ALL of my hair recipies - a tiny bit if I want it to stay liquid, more if I want it to be solid. I also use it on my hair, straight, as a pomade/moisture sealer.

I use mine in my hair and all over. My neck was itching really badly yesterday from a wool blazer and the butter just soothed it greatly. I mixed my shea butter with coffee, cupuaca and murumuru to make this super-butter for my hair and skin. I also added almond oil, so that when it re-hardened, it wouldn't be so hard. It is creamier in the warm months, but now that it is cold, it has hardened some, but not so much that it doesn't come out the jar and go on easily. I also used some of my shea butter to make a hair pomade with grapefruit and jasmine essential oils, aloe vera, liquid lecithin, castor oil and coconut oil.

I melted some in the microwave and used it for a pre-poo with heat under the dryer. Hair came out soft and shiny.

Did you mix with a conditioner or just do a hot oil (butter) treatment for your pre-poo? I think I will try this.

I use it in my hair straight after a wash to braid it up. When dry, my hair is very soft and moisturised. I also use it on my feet. I have been doing that for almost a year now. It makes my feet soft and moisturised all day!

I dont like shea butter on my hair. I use mine on my feet and put socks on. My skin love this stuff.

I have also melted some before to add to my spray bottle mixture for my hair. I only use a little bit because I didnt want it to harden.

I have to try it this way!
Right now, I use mine to moisturize my kitchen every night before bed. It has certainly saved that area. Not the growth that I would like but it is soft and coily, but I have noticed a slight amount of length retained.
