What do u do after a relaxer??

Do u do a protien treatment right after or on your next wash day? I recieved a relaxer today and i want to use emergencee my next wash day(monday)then focus on moisture, moisture, moisture, after that. but i'm not sure if i should do a protien treament What do u think? What do you ladies do?

My protein treatment normally falls a wk or two b4 my relaxer day, so I don't need to do a protein treatment until my next follow up treatment which is every 6 wks. I use Vitale life and Body relaxer system and the DC treatment has protein already in it. I know some ladies have experienced reversion when doing a protein treatment too soon after a relaxer TU, most try to wait atleat 2wks b4 apply a protein treatment.
In the past I've done a protein treatment a few days to a wk after TU day and didn't have a problem w/reversion, but I guess it's better to be safe then sorry.
Have you done this in the past w/good results? if so, If it has been working fine for you don't try to fix what ain't broke.

I only use a light protein on my hair and I use a reconstructor--and I do it my first wash after.

Thanks for the replies ladies! I think i'm going to try emergencee or aphogee treatment on monday then focus on moisture after that If anyone else have any other suggestions please post

ok this is how it should go everytime after a relaxer:

1- conditioning lye relaxer (never no-lye box sets)
2- neutralizing shampoo (at least 3 times)
3- intense protein treatment like Aphogee or Drc 28 (i use DRC)
4- moisturizing deep conditioner (i use Nexxus Humectress)

I do mine this way:

-Aphogee (the liquid one) 3 days before my relaxer
- Relax w/ my profectiv (boxed) no lye relaxer
- neutralize three times with the neutralizer mousse for a total of
15 min
- Use Profectiv 60 second reconstructor after relaxer; style as usual.
- My next wash after my relaxer (usually 3-5 days) I do a deep conditioner like the Profectiv Growth Masque or ORS Replenishing Pak. Both are mild protein treatments with tons of moisturizers.

When you say during relaxer process, exactly what step do you insert this? I'm getting ready to do a touch up in three weeks and I want to try this.

how does your hair handle protein so soon after a relaxer. I use a lye relaxer and find that if I under relax then do a protein treatment, I'm basically at the point I am 6-7 weeks post.

Perhaps you should maybe wait a week or so after your relaxer.
