What did I do to my hair???

Alright ladies...I have just about had it with shampoo...and knots in my fine fine strands after EVERY SINGLE CO-WASH AND SHAMPOO WASH even with detangling. I'm tired of NOT one leave-in conditioner working! And then something happened. I was reading on the boards about shampoo bars and I remember a member saying something about burt's bee's baby shampoo bar...I was like well maybe this will work after all I have tried almost everything and nothing works. Well I get there and gasp no baby bee's shampoo bar...I did buy one but discovered it was the wrong type when I got home. However while wandering around i discovered this olive and honey natural soap bar by Kiss My Face and I'm like this looks a little bit like the CV bars meh I'll buy it.

I put alma oil on top of my cornrows last night and went to sleep so I could get up and wash my hair this morning. I decided to DC straight away with humecto for one hour under my dryer (I can't wait for my Pibbs but that's a whole nother story). I have never done this before so I was like this could go soooo badly:covereyes. Then i got in the shower and started detangling then I was like :scratchch maybe I should use the new bar instead of washing with all of my hated shampoos (CON and Keracare detangling moistrizing both = blah on my hair). So I just lathered up the bar in my hand and then soaped it right on top of the keracare still in my hair and then went through with the detangler. As I was doing this I was like something is happening. My hair was really soft even after rinsing and rinsing. I felt like I still had conditioner in my hair. I finished each section this way with a cold water rinse and got out of the shower. My hair was like - what's going on. I squeezed out excess water and applied my regular ole leave-ins phyto 9 mixed with humectruss. I let my hair air dry (I should say I'm about 14-15 weeks post at this point) My hair has curls EVERYWHERE. Not one tangle. It's unbelievably soft and bouncy and i can't stop touching it! I think I just found a staple for my hair...it has never EVER been this soft not once...sorry for the long post but i just had to share. Lesson of the week: Maybe shampoo just isn't for everyone

ETA: I love my hair so much right now it makes me want to go natural...who knew I had these curls!

Sounds like you scored! I am still looking for a good poo bar. Shampoo's are way too drying on my hair. I am going to use them once a month (for times that I straighten) going forward. I had no luck with the oyin poo bar. So what else does the kiss my face bar have in it? Did your hair feel clean?

Yeah it does...it's kinda light and bouncy like I said....it's so weird. The ingredients are saponified olive oil, honey, NaCl and fragrance. That's it. I actually think it's supposed to be a facial wash bar, but I decided to try it on my hair since the ingredients were so simple. I was eyeing the oyin bar but I got this one first. I have never had my hair feel like this before....not with the most moisturizing shampoo, DC, I feel like my hair is somebody else's. If this continues with each use I will never use shampoo again except to clarify!

Thank you . I bought it from the regular safeway grocery store....I wasn't even really looking for hair products but i bet you could find this brand at a whole foods or natural store - it really doesn't have much at all in it.

This is good to hear! I was thinking about the same thing this morning too. I have a big bag of shampoos that I am going to give to a friend of mine that has waist length 2a hair since she loves to poo. There are only a few poos I like but this Kiss My Face bar you speak of sounds like a winner! What brand of amla oil (oils are the best in my book) did you put on your hair the night before?

The one in the green bottle with the lady...Dabur I believe it is....some women's hair doesn't like mineral oil but this doesn't really bother my hair at all it actually makes it softer and comes out really easily so I don't mind it....
