and how did you like it. I need suggestions on what color to try, my hair is jet black. TIA

I am stuck on colourshines redality, but have used redality mixed with bold gold. I've used wheat, ginger and cinnamon. I used reddissimo once (actually stylist put in by accident). I didn't like it...too dark for my complexion.

I also used mahogany, when I first got out of college, because I thought the redality was too "over the top". Don't ya know, I went right back to my red...the brown was also too dark for me.

. I may even try ginger this summer, but I've been staying away from the blonds, as it seems to be overused. My natural hair is a medium brown, but gets blondish highlights in the summer. If your hair is naturally dark brown, or died black..the color may show up really dark on you.

Thanks Webby :) About how long/how many washes does the color lasts? I would hate to have something in my hair too long if I do not like it.

It lasts for about 8 washings on most heads, but for some reason, my hair holds the color. I didn't use it when I was pregnant and you could see a clear line dividing my natural hair color and the rinse. My stylists is always explaining to other patrons that my hair is not permanently colored, because they always ask about getting the same color.

If your hair is jet black, it may not work on you. My hair is off black (1B) and I have a very hard time with rinses. I get a slight tint when I'm in the sun. Reds will show more though, definitely. Good luck!

Thank you, that's what I was afraid of, I had a plum and a red in my hair years ago and it only showed in the sunlight :( . I was hoping that it may have had something to do with the brand (DarknLovely), well I will try out a different color & brand and see.

from reading you guy's posts and finding out that rinses are conditioners and therefore not harmful. I finally got up the nerve to apply a Sebastian rinse in the color of Cinnamon. My hair is dark brown and now it has a dark reddish tint to it. It pops when i am in light or sunlight. I think it is GORGEOUS. My hair is sooo shiny and full and super airy/fluffy, i am sooo impressed. I will add this color to my monthly routine. I wonder is there anywhere online where they actually show what the sebastian colors look like? Their website don't have pics...I picked Cinnamon after looking at someone's fotki album.

I'm not sure, but don't think that it's recommended to use coloroushines any sooner than every 8 weeks. I think that the reds have henna in them, which can be extremely drying if used too often.

I've always wanted to try the Sebastian's Colourshines Ginger, Reddissimo, and Cinnamin...one day.

So far I've done a mix of Jazzing. I used the colours "Cherry Cola" and "Black Cherry". My hair is dark brown. The colours mixed together worked great. :) My hair came out a really pretty reddish plum. And you can really see it in the light. :yep: I've had it in for 2 weeks now (I wash my hair every Wednesday & Saturday). The colours are still in my hair and going strong. :woot:

I want to try Adore's "Mahogany," mocamadness really liked this one. :)

Yeah, I may try colorshines next time, or I may just suck it up and go permanent  .

I usually use Mahogany by Colourshines. My hair looks dark but in the sunlight and certain lights it's a reddish/brown.

I did a permanent color in March (Textures and Tones in Bronze). I liked the reslt, but it did NUTHIN for the grays. Last month, I put Colourshines in Neutral Brown in sections and I Love: it!!! Check out the avatar!

and webby can you describe how the ginger looked on you. I have the same color your hair is now. it was a mix of adore crimson, jazzing racy wine and jazzy fushia plum. My hair holds the color really well I think have the same hair color..but I'm looking to go for with the ginger

Sharkiee, ginger came out looking like my hair when I was a kid. It was blondish with highlights (of course, if you have natural highlights they will come out even brighter). Ginger has more red in it than Bold Gold.

ADORE is a great rinse! It lasts fairly long and shows up well on darker hair. All thoughout my album (with the exception of my first rinse) I've used ADORE! I'm hooked...this one is a keeper! :)

Spiced cognac was the first rinse I got. I have pictures of the color in my 2004 folder under the album "July 2004 - October 2004."
