Currently, I seal with a butter of some sort or something light.
Fall/Winter: I will also be using Oyin's Burnt Sugar Pomade (thanks Starronda for this tip) and I've also purchased a coupla' "Sealants" and will be using those too.
I have KomazaHairCare Jojoba & Hemp Sealant AND I purchased Afroveda's Ginger Root Pomade.
Update: nixing the Vaseline after 3 days of use after examining one of my strands that came out in my scrunchie and pulling it - the Vaseline end snapped like a twig. I pulled what was left of the strand and it stretched like an elastic band before popping like normal. Also, the hair tucked in the scrunchie for my bun felt crispy-dry. I shampooed/conditioned the Vaseline out this evening, then sealed my HS14 leave-in/moisturizer with jojoba. Hair is shiny, feels like silk, NG is soft and hair tucked in scrunchie still feels wet.
Ok ladies I think I may be on to something last night for the first time I Moisturized and Sealed... Now remember my concern was being relaxed and sealing with JBCO...I massaged my edges and scalp with JBCO, Moisturized with NTM and Sealed with Hollywood Beauty's Castor Oil with Mink OIl ( which is very light) then wrapped my hair... Combed it down this morning and I have to say I loved it!!!..my hair felt great!!!!! it wasnt heavy and stuck to my head...my ends wasnt dry and crunchy looking....it was nicely moisturized soft to the touch. I found my staple sealant....
