Mine are still there, but are thinning away it seems. I think this could be from the rollers at night :ohwell: mostly just the sides. Any suggestions? I'm sure they could stand some more moisture for starters.

ETA:

I'm thinking about getting a trim/cut today and trying to just lay my hair down at night instead of rolling it. Or maybe even just rolling the back  I feel like I've tried that and it didn't work.

hey Kay,
What worked sonders fro me was mtg applied 2x per week ony on wash day while hair was wet, but don't let it get on your skin and only use alittle bit. My only problem was the rash. Myhair has thickened up on the side so much. I also do put pressure on my sides. I give them a break during the week no wraping nothing. I don't do any weaves or braids to much stress for my fragile sides. I do however use lanolin to lay them down and I keep my hair in a bun 6 days out of a week (I am really lazy)

I hope this helps.
this is November when I decided to stop cutting my hair and let it grow 11/2007

Have you ever tried to pincurl the sides instead of rolling them? Also, I've heard that Castor oil is good for thinning areas.

yep that got me too.lol the roller setting every night this year i going to start pin curl my sides right now i am useing oct thanks every body for there post cause it let me know i am on the right track.

Thanks ya'll. I just recently bought some grease to start oiling my scalp. I think I'll do that tonight and just lay my hair down for the night instead of rolling it. I'm not quite sure how I'll wear it in the morning, but I'll figure that out. Maybe I can still roll the back like I mentioned earlier....we'lll see.

Another thing:

I tend to wear my hair pulled back. Not slicked back, but my front rollers go back and I tend to comb them in that direction still. I'm going to try and implement some forward hair :lachen: I'll see if I can wrap my hair towards the front tonight. I just sleep so bad though :nono:

When I'm 6 weeks post relaxer, I add moisture to my edges and seal with oil, then wrap with a scarf. That helps prevent the breakage and prevents me from wanting to use heat, gel or a comb to lay them down.
