Enyaa good to hear, i've had to lay off of my glover's thing cuz my mom claims the smell remains long after i wash- im contributing this to my braids, so in the meanwhile i'm using sulfer 8. i'm gonna pick-up using my glover's after i take my braids out next month. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yeah she's probably right. The last week when I did my treatment no matter how much I washed, the smell lingered. It faded after a couple of days. But hey, maybe it'll keep my co-workers from harrassing me with work for a day or two. hahahahaha. Bout to do it again tonight.

I've moved from one annoying smell to another. I traded in Glover's for Rosemary oil. I did put some sulfur in my top secret braids elixir though. I just can't do the Glover's thing anymore because I have braids with human hair and I can't wash my hair everyday. Sorry. /images/graemlins/frown.gif I am hereby turning in my Barbecue Head Club membership card and parking pass.

I admit I've been slacking and using it every other week. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif I mix a few drops with Africa's Best Hair oil and use it as a preshampoo treatment on my scalp and hair. Mixing it this way helps lesson the odor. I've also been oiling my scalp with Sulfur 8 (blue container) mixed with MSM lotion and hair oil.

I haven't been doing it long enough to see any results, but I'm still doing the Glover's Marinade once a week. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
Twice weekly was just too much... I don't sleep in the stuff anymore, either. I grease my scalp with the ointment and apply the liquid with an applicator bottle and massage it all into my scalp and hair and leave it on for about 3 hours. I didn't do it last week because I was going out of town and I didn't want any lingering odors. /images/graemlins/wink.gif I've found that Kemi Oyl Shea Butter Pomade masks the smell very well.
I have special towels that I use and clothes that I wear for my Glover's treatments. And they get washed seperately. I don't want that smell on everything I own. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I use the Sulfur scalp treatment (which in my eyes is better than sulfer8) made by Hollywood Beauty. Because it contains P & MO I apply it to my scalp like an hour before I wash my hair then wash it out really well.

Up until recently, I had forgotten about the sulphur that I had ordered from Penn Herbs a long time ago. I just had to have it after reading about SuperNapa's (remember her from the old boards?) 7 1/2 inches of growth in 3-4 months. She wasn't certain of her regime because she had been trying a lot of different things on her hair during that time. She never posted again as to what exactly contributed to the growth spurt.
Gosh, 7 1/2" is longer than some sections of my hair. If I could get results like that, oh happy day! So, I have been adding 1/4 teaspoon to my dail rinse of sage oil and rosemary. I was putting aloe vera in there too, but I stopped as I don't think it was doing anything in the rinse.
I was using the Glover's in my night time concoction, the smell didn't bother me and only one guy at work even noticed it and he digs me regardless /images/graemlins/wink.gif! After reading the ingredients and remembering I have about a pound of sulphur, I decided I didn't need to waste my money on that little bottle if the only thing I am missing is Pine Tar Oil. If that is the ingredient that makes our hair grow, of course I will have a gallon of it, but from what I have read here, it isn't the source of our growth.

The bottle is almost empty and I don't have enough for another "full" treatment, I need to get some more. (I think I got 3 "treatments" out of my bottle of Glover's liquid).
I will be buying it again, but right now I have enough hair products to carry me into 2003 and I promised myself I wouldn't be doing any hair product shopping for a while.
I didn't notice any increased growth with the Glover's, but as I said I only used it three times over a couple of months time.

I backed off of the mtg for a while the smoky scent made me self conscious but i will be back in effect shortly

Well I am using the floral scented version and it is much bearable than the original formula. Inadvertently my dad is on the BBQ challenge

I love my stinky mix. My hair is loving it too. I have no shedding anymore and my hair is the thickest and curly than it ever has been.Love it and can see my naural hair staying with me for good.
