I usually wear my hair pressed, but I decided not to do it until the fall back around the end of April. I had been wearing my hair either down curly or in a ponytail or bun, washing it at least every other day.

Before starting this I had a serious problem with thin hair. My hair is naturally pretty fine but I burned a big chunk out of it with a marcel flat iron over a year ago leaving me with 2 inch hair that refused to grow. Because the chunk was so big, my hair looked really thin and pathetic. I have been cutting my hair for forever to try to even it out. The last time I cut it in May, I cut all my hair to my collarbone for a nice fresh start.

Okay back to this weekend...Friday I was getting tired of the curls and decided to torture my hair with heat to go out with my boyfriend to see Bad Boys II. when I was finished I was so amazed! My hair looked so thick that I had to coat it with oil just to lay it down a little! And the part that was burnt now reaches the top of my shoulders so it looks like I have layers instead of really pathetic hair.

The best news is that my hair looks like it is around 2 inches past my collarbone and 4 inches to brastrap (I'm tall). It's been less than three months since I cut my hair to my collarbone, so I am more than satisfied.

Now I have decided to take it even a step further. I was going to begin pressing my hair in maybe September but I have decided to wait until November or December just to see what happens. This has really inspired me to stay strong in my quest.

I'm glad you had such a great hair weekend! I wish you well in your growing and non-pressing goals
