Hair product junkie reloaded!
Okay, I LOVE the first picture on this site:

I saw this posted down below inthe African Braids thread.....WOW, I am SOOOO loving that look! Some questions:

1. Can that only be done with Human Hair? If it can be doe with synthetic hair, is there any blond hair that looks like that???

2. How long does this style last for those of you who have had it done like this?

3. Was it a tangled mess when you finally took them out?? I want my hair to grow out (I am transitioning) but I woudl hate to lose a lot of hair from braid breakage or whatever.....how do you even wash this type of style without tangles?

HELP ME OUT! I am still deciding what I want my hair to look like when I go to France at the end of August!!! Thanks!

it can be achievd with synthetic hair, i think the pony would be the best synthetic hair for that look, but....its really no synthetic hair that i have seen that would give u that exact kinda look...only wet and wavy human...o and yes, there are many colors in sythetic hair including lots of blonds...
2. How long does this style last for those of you who have had it done like this? in my expierence i would only leave in my braids for up to 6 weeks at a time, some peple leave thiers in longer, but i find my scalp cant take it anylonger than that..

3. Was it a tangled mess when you finally took them out?? I want my hair to grow out (I am transitioning) but I woudl hate to lose a lot of hair from braid breakage or whatever.....how do you even wash this type of style without tangles? thats the thing, in all my expierence with braids , i get that dust knot after a while at the begginig of the braid, i dont care what i do...and i lose hair, even following the braid lady's instuctions to a tee...so, cant say that i have had success with boxbraids without some hair loss...maybe other have more success than i...
good luck!

when i had them done i had human hair and they weren't that small. My style lasted for about a month and a half. I would have kept them in longer, but my co workers were making fun of me lol. I plan on getting this style again and I'm looking for synthetic hair, but I can't find it. may be you can get some kind of straight hair and braid it wet and let it dry. If you look on the net for a singing group called Mary Mary. One of the girls had those braids with synthetic hair and she did a braid out to make it wavy like that. That's a good way to do it because you can wear it wavy or straight.
