My extra thick hair takes forever to dry! Can you beautiful ladies leave tips of regimens and products that you use to get a cute smooth bun? I know I need to was the night before (that's a given :yep:) I just really want a sleek polished looking bun but I can't seem to get it right. I provided a picture of my wet hair from a few weeks ago so you can see what I'm working with. Most of the videos on YT are helpful to an extent, it seems like my thirsty hair soaks up all the product before the next morning.

Thank you!

Subbing because I would like to know too.....OP your hair is gorgeous!!!

Thoughts by me.....Typos by my HTC Thunderbolt

I asked this recently in my thread, what products people use to slick down their hair for buns and ponytails. Most answers were gels/creams. Only a few used pomades.

There's this ORS Pudding that the ladies here use and claim it's good.
Ecostyle gel.
Almond Glaze by Hairveda
Flaxseed/Aloe vera gel
Some plain heavy butter and a scarf.

What I look for in bun products is something with high shine, medium hold without the crunchyness, and if it manages to give my hair softness. I researched for a bit this past weekend and decided I'll give Darcy's Botanicals Coconut Cupaucu Butter Pomade a chance. The shine seems to be crazy and the hold is great and there's no crunch from the reviews I read.

Good luck!

I have somewhat of a similar issue. I apply liquid leave ins and then comb ecostyler gel the night before. ONce its slicked down I tie it down with a scarf and this works great since in the morning my hair is really smooth
