I was supposed to be relaxing right before my BD around 4/7, but was doing so good on my stretch that I said I would add another 4 weeks to my stretch, making it 20 weeks. Well now that my BD is getting nearer and my friends and I have planned this big "production" of a party, I so want to go on and relax my hair. I am torn!!! My BF is coming down from NY to visit and this will be the first time that my friends and I have had a big soiree at my place so I really want to be cute so I am seriously thinking about relaxing at the 16 week mark.....

I'm doing okay for my first attempt. I got me some CON and ORS replenishing pak and I'm ready for the final "stretch."

My hair has definitely grown. It's amazing that what I thought were "naps" that forced me to relax my hair every chance I got is actually a sign of growth. My hair is growing, and it's the longest and healthiest it's ever been!

I've found that braidouts hide my NG the best, and I like the wavy look... when I do it right. I'm going to take a swim class 2xs a week for 6 weeks, so my stretch will go towards the end of April. Lord, give me strength!

Salaam,

I'm still going strong. :clapping: I have seen some serious growth and thats a good thing. On the flip side I won't be stopping until after I have given birth to my daughter 4-19-06 so I'll have 2 extra weeks.

:dance7: Congrats to everyone that have and will make it.

I'm still hanging in there. I'm really proud that I've been able to manage the new growth myself. I am counting down the days though!

I'm counting too... I can't wait to feel that silky feeling once again... You know, how the comb just glides through your hair. TWO WEEKS!

I'm still hanging! I actually had braids put in about a month or so ago but Im not relaxing my hair until May 16 which will put me at like 27-28 weeks post!

I know I'll make it to April 1st. I'm doing great so far even though my hair (especially the underprocessed middle) is sooo dry. I try to keep it moisturized as much as possible. It's just a matter of when I actually breakdown to apply the relaxer. I would like to stretch to May but we'll see what happens. I miss that soft silky smooth feeling.

I'm still hanging in there. I got my hair reweaved again last week because I just couldn't take it anymore. I was seriously about to break down and relax. Since this weave is in there though, I probably won't relax again until around April 15. That'll be 22 weeks for me. Good luck ladies!

Wow, when was this club/challenege started? I have been stretching since 11-11-06...... and I am not relaxing until 4-1-06:)

Its been a loooooooong stretch for me. I wash weekly and DC with the ORS Rep. Pack and the newgrowth is THICK as H*ll. But I have made it this far. But honestly I cannot wait to relax

...Still stretching. Not sure if I will relax in April now though. I go on maternity leave in May and go back to work at the end of June, so I think I may just keep stretching til then. I'm 14 1/2 weeks post now. Using my silicone mix every couple of weeks and scurl every couple of days for detangling is really helping.

How's everyone doing?

It seems like my hair has stopped growing, but I don't know if that is really the case, or if it is just shrinkage.

I KNOWWWWWW! :ohwell: My shrinkage is really, uh, "Black Power" right now. I also find myself fingering the shrinkage in the middle of the night. It's like I cannot keep my hands out of it. I'm at WEEK 14! 2 MORE WEEKS TO GO! (I might just go another 2 weeks and make it a nice 18)

Im ok. Im stretching for 6 mths and even though my new growth is not an huge problem styling is. My hair will absolutely not hold spiral curls. Even in sets so Im going back in braids.
