WEN fig was a no-win for me

AFter all the hype and praise and rave reviews, I decided to give it a try. I bought the smallest bottle- 6 oz. I tried it last night. I was very excited. I rinsed my hair throroughly per the instructions and followed the instructions and pumped the conditoner and applied to my hair.

Well first I didn't really like the scent. I tried to not let that keep me from seeing if it was actually good for me though.

nah, I guess I'll be saving some major $$$ on this one. It left my hair feeling coated, and my scalped itched like never before. It just kinda sat on my hair and scalp.

I'm gonna try to see if it works good for me as a leave in b/c I'm in need of one anyway.

I just ordered the sample pack for ethnic hair from Amazon less than an hour ago. I hope that I have better luck because I can't seem to find much of anything that my hair likes.

Did you clarify before using the Wen?

No, but I had washed my hair about 2 days before. Are you supposed to clarify?

Some people clarify before using a new product to see if it works. Build up on hair and scalp can cause a product not to work properly or a new product not to work at all.

Follow the directions to a T! The WEN FIG oil and WEN Lavender Creme has worked wonders or my hair. That, and along with OCT...I can't ask for anything better.

Just curious - have you tried Keracare or Ojon? After trying EVERYTHING touted on this board, these are the two lines that have worked for me

After about a week of Wen, my hair was transformed. I was amazed at, firt, I mean it felt good in the shower but then it was like BAM

Yup! Will you all quit it? I just did my hair yesterday and with all this Wen talk, I feel like jumping in the shower and getting my "Wen" on.

I got my Wen on this morning with the sweet almond

I did wash with shampoo Friday night and did a mild protein treatment. I think I will keep with the wen and then every 5-7 wash, use shampoo and do the protein thing. I am just loving the WEN, if for nothing else it just simplifies my life. Depending on my mood tonight I might sleep in a mix of tea tree and lavender and blow it out in the morning so I can be extra cute for class tomorrow

I tried that mix after reading some of her threads My boyfriend wants to go to the movies so I might throw it in before I go. I wonder if Chaz has more Wen products planned? I would love another cleansing conditioner scent. Maybe even a treatment designed to be warmed up before you use it...like a creamy hot oil treatment

I will be off of my Wen restriction next Wednesday I put myself on punishment for a week because I used up a third of the 32oz bottle in one week w/ my daily cowashing.

It's such a good product - I know what you mean. I have made myself only use Wen every other day. Once a week I use my other love, Ovation (need to get my protein growth on).

I am glad MsHottieNelson is giving it another try.
