And he was fabulous!!
I was going thinking I was going to get a touch up but being that it was the first time doing my hair, he wanted to see the actual state of it prior to doing any chemical processes. I thought that was very professional, most would just relax it and call it a day. He gave me this wonderful brazilian chocolate deep conditioning treatment, it smelled good enough to eat
and left my hair very moisturized and manageable. My last relaxer was in May, so I have a ton of new growth. They blowed my roots straight and then I sat to wait for my main stylist to do my hair, it took forever and a day, but it was worth it.
I ended up cutting my hair to neck length (btw this is the shortest my hair has ever been- BIG CHANGE!!), because of the over processed hair and the breakage in the back from the weave.
But my hair is so thick, full of movement and shiny i just laughed at the pile of limp straight hair on the floor.
So I went from APL to NL, but I am happy with it, at least I know now I will be going to someone who actually knows what he is doing. I had the opportunity to watch him do a touch up and he based the scalp, actually applied the relaxer to the new growth only (with that nifty spatula looking brush), and he set a timer!!
So no over processing will be going on in this hair again!!
As you can see I am excited!! I have bangs again, which I am not thrilled with but they needed to be cut, that was the part of my hair that breaks off a lot. So a trim was needed in that area. I just cant wait to see the progress my hair is going to make, I know I basically started over again, but eh, no biggie!!
Thanks for listening to me rant and rave I am going to go to sleep now.
Ciao!
