As much as I tell myself I want to be, deep down in my heart, I'm not a DIY lady. Mixing a few tablespoons of oil or honey into a deep conditioner is cool but all the teas, pastes, powders, and infusions aren't for me.
Do you regularly visit salons for any services? If the answer is no, then you are a DIY lady. Making your own products is a part of being a DIYer, but not the extent of it. For me, it essentially means that you do most things for yourself. Wash, treatments, roller set, silk press, braids, etc.

Obviously there maybe times when you may need to seek professional advice or might want to treat yourself to a service at a salon. I very rarely visit a salon for anything, and completely regard myself as someone who DIY my hair care.

I am keen to make my own prepoos, butter whips and gels, but I have no intentions of making my own shampoo or conditioners. I won't be ready to make my own products until I've locked down my staple products.

I'm strictly talking about products when I mention DIY.

I haven't done anything with my hair all summer. It's suffering. And I still need to make moisturizer so that I can care for my hair. I might have lost a bit of length. I'm not sure. My ends look fine, but my unreliable pull test is giving me mixed messages.

I might just live in mini twists for the next year. They seem to work best.

I didn’t sell my Mo knows hair products. (Person changed their mind). So I kept them and added glycerin to the deep conditioner and cowash. Voila! Both products made my hair feel like silk. Next project is to add glycerin to the styling products. Use up and then I'm done with Mo.
Update. Adding glycerin did not make it better. Threw in the garbage.

My confession is that I didn't completely close the nozzle on the oil infusion I made. So when I shook it up to mix the components again, some of it ended up on the bathroom counter and I didn't care. I just cleaned up it and kept it moving.

Since my DIY days have come to an end, I'm going to start drinking fenugreek tea and adding amla to my smoothies. TBH, this will probably do more for my hair health than any infusion or pastes I was going to make.

*cough Full Confession*
My Crazy PJ Days are long gone but my Stash is still Hella-Big:eek:...:nono:

Disclaimer:
Although, recently I was in Burling.ton and saw all these different Skala's on the shelf and started feeling a mild twinge :sekret:

I think mostly because those large jars were $5.99 :scratchchin:

Every time I think of buying something, I think of how I purchased my medicated shampoo in January this year. I use it every single week and I still have about 1/4 of the bottle to go. Maybe I'll finish it this year, maybe I won't. But I know I don't NEED to buy anything because I have enough to last...for a while.

I've been liking all the Skala reels on IG so now my feed is full of curly hair wash routines. I watch on mute because I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese but I know what it's saying because the curls be popping.

@B_Phlyy
Right. We really don't need a thing :nono: . And I need to leave the makeup/skin care alone too

That's why we're both in the "No Buy" Challenge....remember?:poke".....

I think its the trying of new and exciting sounding/looking products.

Imma stay in this Stash - but may not rule out grabbing 1 or 2 of those huge cheap Jars of Skala if the PJ-vibe hits me.:freakout:

Ugh I have to go back to my librarian look. I have a lot of cute accessories which helps keep things interesting. I’m tired of my wash and goes now. I hate waiting for my hair to dry. At least now I can use my Amika over night treatments. Started putting oil and pomade in my hair and it’s great! I just use a light hand
