Congratulations. You looked great and it looks like you had a lot of fun. Did you get naija food too? I do remember Ediese, is she still on here?
 
Congratulations! You all look fantastic, the cake is amazballs. I was like--this is so turned up, is this a Nigerian wedding? LOL. Hoping many years of marital joy.

No naija food because venue mandated in-house catering which is what i wanted anyway. The food was really good. Menu options were beef tenderloin, pan seared asian chicken breast and ravioli for vegetarian option.

-Dont listen to unsolicited advice. People feel the need to offer without you asking. :look:
-Dont bother with favors they're a waste of money. People say favors are to say thank you to your guests but the reception IS the thank you!
-Only splurge on your priorities. For me, the food and FULL OPEN bar was really important.
-Throw a wedding you can afford.

thank you :D the cake(my cake :look:) was SO good! Top layer has strawberry filling with bavarian cream icing and we're going to eat that on 1st anniversary! other layers were butter rich, strawberry and amaretto flavors. i had people emailing me days later to see if we had any left over cake :lol:

Thanks! Well half Nigerian. If it was Nigerian all the way, it would have gotten out of hand and we'll have spent too much money.


Oh kids were NOT invited and my estranged uncle brought his FOUR kids. They sat in the car during reception because the coordinator knew my wishes and im so glad they listened. Unacceptable. :angry2:

i was so pissed. One of my BM had a TWO month old baby and 2 other friends had newborns that they didnt bring and this bastard i hadnt talked to in a decade had the gall to bring his kids.
He already sent a text asking if they could come and i said NO and he STILL brought them. i still get mad when i think about it!!
