Hey all. I'm getting married this summer and have noooooooooo idea what to do with my hair. :perplexed

I'm thinking about wearing it natural because a press would be a disaster in the heat of the summer. :nono:

I was thinking about a full lace wig too, but they are really pricey.

Do you ladies have any ideas? Pics would be really helpful.

yea i wouldnt get it flat ironed unless it is going to be in an indoor building with the ac on blast:grin:

perhaps you can get a sue in with bangs or a full weave with a little hair out

These natural pics are beautiful...

I think an updo with twisted out hair with some pretty accents in the hair or babies breath would be nice. I've seen some nice pics from women with locks so maybe a locktician could whip up something awesome for you.

If you want to straighten your hair, you can do so and put it in a bun. Like an elegant, mingled, low bun with the front securely pulled back a la Beyonce. I'm natural and have done this with the help of stylists at a Dominican Salon.

Keep looking on the net for ideas...

At my wedding, I had my hair in a cornrowed bun very similar to this one.

Harana, I have to hijack for a minute... :fan:

Now that is CUTE! Too bad I don't know anyone I trust to braid my hair like that and not mess up my edges. :nono:

I'm not getting married, but I am a bridesmaid this summer and I am going to need a 'do as well. The wedding is in August so straightening is definitely out of the question. I don't have enough hair to pull off the styles that were shown first, and I don't know what I'll be working with at the end of August. I need to get on the net and do a search.

Thanks for the pics! :dance7:

all of these natural wedding styles are just beautiful!!

If I ever get married I don't want my hair straightened either.

IC gel or Ecostyler gel works really good in pulling your hair into in updo and get some weave hair and get a stylist ponytail. Thats what I plan to do for events this summer. Get it geled and dried under the dryer and get a sculped bun --it last for two weeks and you can dance all night and not have to worry about your hair. Bring some spritz to freshen it up make sure you don't get it on YOUR hair and you are go to go.

I found some 4 u...i got more to give if you dont want hair hanging down

Congratulations! I know what you are saying about your hair. I got married last summer and was concerned about the same thing (especially for the honeymoon). Soooo, what I did was get a bun. It was simple and came out beautifully (picture in avatar and another in my fotki). I would say to keep it simple. You will be beautiful no matter what. There is somthing about being a bride that lets your beauty shine from within. Enjoy your day girl!

There is a member here that styles her hair very beautifully and she is natural. I can't think of her name right now. I was taking a look at her fotki yesterday and I was amazed at her lovely hair.
