Weaving with Synthetic Hair

I know its usually frowned upon because of how it can tangle and matte easily. Plus you cannot use heat in it, but....

I just wanted to tell you ladies about the Heat Fusion hair from Janet Collection. You can curl it and curl it again! I am IN LOVE with this hair. Honestly it is better than any human hair I have ever used. It matched my texture exactly. I use hot rollers in it to curl, because once you curl, you have to let it cool to hold the curl. So I just put them in, do my make up and my hair is ready. It stays curled till you change it. When I want it straight, I just run my flat iron over it. It holds up to sweating and working out (and the ladies who remember me, know I work out ALOT!).

looks good carrie. did you do it yourself? if so, you did a great job. the synthetic hair is lighter and prettier, but i usually take it out in about 5 days and change the hair, but keep the same braids. it's usually not that exspensive, so i can do this without feeling bad.

How is this attached to your hair? Is it bonded, glued, fused??? It looks nice.

Taliah - I have a stylist that does my weave for me. I'd prolly poke myselkf in the head with the needle til I bled! I have always been skeptical of the synthetic hair, but honestly this is the best hair I have ever used. AND no real bad shedding.

lovelymissyoli - Its sewn in. I don't fool with the glue!

true, it doesn't shed as much. have you used synthetic hair before with this type of style? it doesn't last long at all for me.

I've only ever used synthetic hair with braids. Never with a weave. This hair is like Yaki Perm. You can do whatever to it. When I do it curlier again, I'll post another pic.

it looks so beautiful. i love the way you have it styled. i have bad luck with hair when getting a weave. i spend so much money on the human hair and it sheds like no tomorrow and it tangles like crazy. the shedding i can deal with but the tangling, ughhhh. does this hair tanlge up? i would style my hair and walk to the train station and my hair would be a mess. i used Outre which is suppose to be so good. i can't be bothered with the sew in anymore so the next time i do it, i want to bond in a few tracks in the back only. let me know about the tangles.

Oh yeah, I have some Outre at home collecting dust. I may use it for clipping in, but that hair is horrendous as far as fly-aways.

It looks really nice! Does it last very long and can you wash it w/ water with out it clumping together? If so, then I'm going to use it the next time I get a relaxer.
