I need some advice ladies.

I just had this weave put in last week. DH, kids and I are going to visit his sister in Miami this weekend and he just told me she's thinking of taking us to a waterpark. Now I'm thinking to myself, what the fluck do I do now? To me, it's one thing to go to the pool and avoid putting your head in the water (which for me would a difficult feat b/c I love getting immersed in the water), but to go to a waterpark an going in water slides, etc., it would be impossible. Plus, I want to go and I want to have fun just like everyone else. "I'm not a sit on the side and look cute type of person".

So do I just do the standard coat my hair in conditioner and oil, braid, bun and call it day? Am I risk of really ruining it? Not sure if it matters, but I have the Bobbi Boss Indiremi Ocean Wave hair.

Separate issue from that, I have my own hair out around perimeter and u in the front for a part. with my hair wet, my tracks are surely to show. Do you think wearing some sort of headscarf/durag is a good idea? I'm trying to figure out what would actually stay on my head while wet. I just don't want to look completely foolish.

I'd get my hair wet and come home and wash it as usually to get out the chlorine. wash and style your weave and leave out as you normally would.

What about a cute cap? Like a baseball style cap? It would be snug enough to stay on your head when you're on rides, and depending on what you wear it could still look cute with your outfit.

I think this is the same for swimming but if you have a glue-in this is a big NO lol but with a sew-in condition you hair before you go and when you come back, wash your hair how you normally would with weave. Oils could help a lot also seeing how oil repels water, the water would just roll off your hair.

I just don't think I have the face to pull off the cap thing (esp w/ no makeup, lol) :nono:, but I'll look into it. :yep:

if you are worried about tracks showing I would wear a cute headband

yeah, I think I like this idea or a headkerchief (sp?) tied up in a headband-like fashion. I'd have to make sure it was snug though.

Thanks for feedback ladies. I really appreciate it.

in my bag i would have a headband, a baseball cap, hair scrunchies for ponytails, some hair gel and some conditioner in case i have the opportunity to rinse my hair out at some point during the day.

A wide headwrap might work too. Pick one up at Target.
