Weave newbie help! How long?

Hi, I want to do a weave for a special occasion end of the month. Is there a website I can look at to get some idea of styles? I know I want a short weave but it doesnt help that I dont know how long 8 inch, 10 inch will look like on my head. I am told I can have 10 inch with short pieces at the back but am also scared this style will make me look 'boyish'.

You should check out Black Hair Media. Their weave forum will definitely help. They have a ton of pics on there. I've never worn anything shorter than 14", so I can't help you there.
