whats the difference between the grey packet and purple one
and also
does any one have any pics of the hair installed pls pls pls ?????

Outre Velvet Remy is pretty good for the money. Plus it's reusable if you don't chop it.

It doesn't tangle or shed; the problem is that it doesn't hold a curl without adding product to it.

It has a somewhat silky texture, but once you wash it a couple times, it will resemble a more textured--not kinky--texture.

I've used the 10" #2 and 10" in #4 (PM me for a pic of that install). I currently have Extensions Plus Silky Relaxed Texture (#2) installed. My friend did my install last month and didn't add the tracks in a less-full, more natural look that I prefer. So I sewed in a couple tracks of the Outre Velvet Remy to the sparse areas, and it it blended perfectly!

The grey pack is more of a Yaki texture. It's less expensive, and what I've been told is that it does shed even though it looks good. You can't reuse it, either. This--along with the darker Milky Way colors (#1 thru #4) tend to be the one that "discount" stylists use when they "include free hair in the price of the install."

Hope this helps.

I've never used the gray pack. I've used the purple pack twice. The first time is was great. The second time, I was proved wrong. I had shedding, matting, and tangling issues with this hair and with with regular care. I brushed my hair through every day but still it matted up. As for holding a curl, it did not need much product. I used flexirods and Olive Oil Wrap Mousse. My curls came out nice.

pink gator's Thanks pink gator yu answered all my questions n i really appreciate that
it is my first time trying remy hair
DarkChyld how do you treat the hair ?
e.g wash weekly/DC Mositurise daily /seal ??

I've used the purple pack before and it held up pretty good. I kept it in for about a month with no problems. I used almost 2 packs. I had a small piece leftover.

I washed weekly. Brushed and detangled thoroughly everyday. When I had this weave, I had not discovered sealing etc yet. I just treated and babied it like my own hair. I wrapped it up at night with a scarf/satin bonnet etc. I'm not the only one who has had these problems with this type of hair. Some of my friends who are constant weave wearers also noticed the shedding and the matting. I'm now in the market for some non BSS hair.

I HATED it!
I purchased the hair 3 times thinking maybe I got a bad batch but after the 3rd time I gave up.
Basically it tangled, shed, and matted! And if i used any product whatsoever on it it turned into a greasy hot mess!

And to better describe how horrible this hair was i mixed one track in with my Bobbi Boss IndiRemi and u could tell which was velvet. It was nappy, dull, frizzy, wouldnt straighten or curl and had those dreaded HARD hair FIBERS! ( aka hair mixed with fibers) along with some some green and purple strings! that Sh*t wasnt even 100%. Sorry for my harshness.

and i take wonderful care of my weave i tried everything with this. even the bleach bath and deep conditioner. smh.

Save some time invest in some Bobbi Boss IndiRemi Ive had mine for 1.5 years!

You can't put product on most BSS hair even if it is Remy. It will make it go to hell. :nono: I never put product on mine and it holds up fine. Green and purple strings though? Wth was that?!? You do know that some places sell fake hair right? There was some talk about some stores selling fake Bohyme over at BHM. The hair looked similar to the real thing but behaved horribly. Did you buy it from the same store all 3 times?

i dont want it to dry out
but it seems puttin product onit is a bad idea :s
confused now
so i can't use a daily moisturer???

Any weave hair looks and acts best without products - or minimal product.

I would add, bad wefting can happen to any hair not just the kind you buy at the bss. When you get the hair, inspect the weft and if it doesn't look tight then you have to seal it before you install. Also if you cut the weft to install then the cut edges are the source of a lot of shedding. I put a dab of fabritac glue on cut ends. I read a tip someplace that recommended nail glue which I tried but prefer fabritac coz the nail glue dries hard.

Well I get bad dandruff and have to wash my weave sometimes once a week along with my own hair. So for my weave I use Carson for Weave, becuase it helps it, it is a conditioner and a shampoo and helps to keep it bouncy and pretty, I dont put other products on it. Then I wash my own hair with something else.... But that is just how I do it, I know others do theirs diff, but that works for me. I just know eventually you will have to wash the hair and that line is a good one for weaves, in my opinion. My sister, mom and I use it.

it's been a month and i loove this hair
i hope to keep for another month or maybe more but i'm worried about my own hair matting and locing underneath
i'm sure many of you ladies have wore weave for a 3month period and have no problems am i right ?
and what was your regimen ?

I hate this hair, like i would rather buy premium. I have brought Laniks relaxed texture in the past

I installed the Velvet Remi Yaki and Velvet Remi Yak Duby, ugh! i went to a party and sweated in it and just eww i have to brush it all the time, its sooooo straight and soooo shiny and just likes to tangle. This would never blend with 4b hair(i have it) I wore it as a full head of weave.

The only good thing about the hair is that this one dude was like 'YOOOOOOO, she got that remy hair' BETTER RECOGNISE AFTER I PAID THAT MUCH FOR BSS HAIR!

I got back to England and was asked if it was synthetic because it was soo tangled in the back, so straight and shiny.
Ive had it for 3weeks and dont put anything in it

I installed 14 and 8' my friend on the right had harlem 125, which i liked soo much better.
Im on the left and shes on the right *i cant figure how to post a picture*
