Hello everyone! I was wondering has anyone heard the old saying, "Weak Spot". I have a problem with severe itching in the top of my crown. I always get good new growth in this spot, but then it breaks after about two to three inches. I have a relaxer and I've tried different conditioners, motions, new era, humectress, etc. I scratch constantly. Can anyone offer advice? Thanks.

I too have a weak spot that itches a lot. My hair in that spot would break off after new growth as well. Mine is located on the top of my head on the top of my hair on the left side. Since I wore my hair realy short, it never showed that much. Since growing it out the last six months or so, I am seeing some increased growth, much better than when I wore my hair short. I have just recently started using mango butter and carrot oil in that area to see if I can stop the breakage altogether. I'll let you know if I have any success.

Thanks for the reply. I usually press that area after blowdrying, especially if I have new growth. It seems to help some. I also recently started using carrot oil. I hope it works. I read somewhere about using castor oil and a heat cap as a pre-conditioner before washing. It is supposed to help with breakage. I haven't tried it yet. I'll keep you posted.
