I am not able to use this as it messes with my scalp. I was wondering what would happen if I added the Surge to my conditoer mix as a hair strengther and for eliminating tangles. Has anyone tried this mixed with their deep condtioners. I bought this stuff and want to get my money's worth if possible. I wonder what would happen if I just applied it to a my hair when it is in a ponytail and just bagged the ponytail for about an hour. This would keep it off my scalp. Hmmm...Mahalia's mind it ticking again!!!

We are in the same boat... I still have 2/3 left... I might just give it to my sister. Not only does it bother my scalp (burning, flaking)... but it has protein in it, which they are telling you to use 2x a day  NOT HAP'NIN with my "protein sensitive" hair!

I always try it out in a new way to see if I can make some good use out of it. I use surge all the time to finish slicking my hair back. It's like a polisher for me after I put in my moisturizer and I'm about to brush it back into a ponytail/bun-- I spray some surge into my palms, rub them together and put it on my hair and on my ends. Then I put a little bit of oil over it. At the end of the day, I notice that my hair is smoother. I like it! :D This probably won't work for others, but it works for me. :) I started doing this while back b/c for me, surge doesn't do much for growth, but it's great for a lot of other little things.

I've never sprayed surge on my scalp, just on my hair after my moisterizer. (and after reading the stuff here I don't think I will either  )

I don't seem to have any problem with it the way I'm using it, it does help hold in the moisture.

That sounds good to me, it would be used for strengthening your ends. It may turn out to be a new staple. let us know how it goes.

blessed do you mind telling me why not? tia

Well I mixed it right away because when I was reading the threads about mtg I saw that it smell funky but you could cut the funk down by mixing it w/ something. I read that someone mixed it w/ surge and I had some left over so I used that. Sprayed it on my scalp and was ready to die, felt like it was on fire! But I cowashed the next morning and never had that problem again, I'm thinking it was the mtg clearing up any scalp issues I may have not known I had, I dunno  The surge would make my scalp itch if I didn't wash it out the next morning so I think it may have caused that strong reaction too.

But honestly I have no interest in using surge anymore since it seemed like it stopped working for me awhile ago, whereas w/ the mtg I saw a definite improvement w/ my hairline and (unfortunately for me) increased overall hair thickness. I'm wondering if I could have gotten stronger effects w/ the mtg if I didn't cut it down though, if I do purchase mtg again I'm not going to mix it w/ anything and see if I get even better results.
