I'm thinking about washing my hair every other day with condition washes in between those. What I would like to know is do you think this will hurt? I'm on the product challenge and I've got a lot of poo's & con's to use up.
I think if you are going to shampoo every other day (if I'm reading this correctly), I would do some sort of preshampoo on those days (except on your clarifying day). For example, if you had time to massage warm oil into your hair and let it sit for awhile before shampooing and conditioning, I think this would be beneficial. I do this because I can't go too long without soap being on my scalp anyway.
I think there is a fine line between washing & conditioning more often to improve the hair and washing & conditioning TOO often. You will have to see what works for your hair, but remember that the hair is fragile when it is wet & probably has a limit to how often it can be wet and still stay strong.
I have been washing my hair everyday (with shampoo) for the last couple of months and it has never felt or looked better plus it is really growing. I do use a sulfate free shampoo though followed by a heavyish condish then a detangling condish and a leave in !!
I've been doing that the past 2 summers with pretty good success(I get lots of growth when I do this).
I change up in the winter ...I cut back to 3 times a week shampoos(after I exercise) and skip the conditoner washes.
Sweetcocoa do you think if I wash my hair at night it would be ok? I'm not working at the moment so I've got plenty of time on my hands when my kids are in school and hubby at work? Got to use these products up.

That's exactly when I do mine. I don't have time in the morning. It works out very well for me. I don't worry about sitting all day with wet hair. It's usually still damp in the morning when I get up...but it dries completely in 2 hours.
