I want to try it. I'm kinda worried this will make my hair very dry...

If you decide to wash everyday, do conditioner washes instead of shampoo. Co-washes are when you use conditioner to wash your hair. A nice moisturizing conditioner like Humectress or Dove Moisturizing would work nicely (I do this). Don't forget to alternate with a protein conditioner too. I use the Lustersilk Herbal Cholesterol Deep Conditioning formula as a cowash too.

many people Condtion wash instead of "washing" everyday with shampoos.

I follow this method. I don't wash as often anymore. I am natural and it was very easy for me to CW daily. My hair loved the moisture from the water.

If you shampoo your hair everyday that'll make your hair dry because your washing away your hair's natural oils. Have you thought about just doing a conditioner wash? I work out a lot and when I was natural I would shampoo my hair after every two work outs(I still do that now) and conditioner wash only on the other days. It was easier to style my hair and my hair was getting moisture without it being stripped by the shampoo.

I used to conditioner wash back in 2000 when I first found hair boards but because of the build-up, after day three, it would cause mushy hair and breakage.

I have washed every day with no adverse affects. I actually stopped doing it for a little while and my hair is mad at me for it.

You won't have problems with dryness if you use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair. I can't use cheapy drugstore products when I do this because the mushiness starts.

My hair grew from a little past armpit to past brastrap when I first started washing daily. Also, I did retain length with the conditioner washes (that is how I got if from shoulder length to armpit length), I just didn't like how my hair felt.

I thought about that, too. Well if your shampoo doesnt have any sulfates, I wonder will it be ok?

I co-wash everyday usually just to restyle my texlaxed hair. :ohwell:
When I was bunning daily or when I'm in braids I don't co-wash everyday.

I've been co washing daily for the past week and it seems to be working out really well for me. I've noticed my hair is stronger and it also tangles less. I use shampoo about twice a week.

The purpose of daily washing is to keep the scalp(pores) clean to increase hair growth.

My texlaxed hair still has alot of curl in it, so I just wash n go.:) When I was on the HYHC, I did a ponytail. Daily washing with conditioner is what makes my hair thrive.
