Wash n' go n' conditioner question!

I've been doing wash and goes since I cut my hair in December and I normally put in some Knot Today before I use Ecostyler gel. It typically leaves my hair white until my hair dries up and I feel as though if I -don't- put any leave in with my gel that my hair won't be getting enough moisture. Does anyone else use a leave in with ecostyler or Kinky curly or fantasia gel and if so what so? If you don't then why?

My hair texture is a mixture of 3c in the back, 4a in the sides of middle and I'm pretty sure 4b/4a mixture in the front. Oh yeah and my hair is naturally dry and drinks moisture like crazy.

i use KT under Ecostyler too. most people use a leave-in and/or oil under the gel to seal in moisture. nothing wrong with what you are doing!
