I used to set a specfific time b/c it used to take soooo long but now b/c of the wonderful tips I have received from all of you ladies, as long as I wash my hair early enough that it will be dry in the morning it doesn't matter.
I've been doing conditioner washes every couple of days or so, although I think I'm going to return to washing just once a week to cut down on manipulation. So it'll probably be Saturday, since that was always my wash day pre-LHCF. Plus I like for it to be nice for church on Sunday
I CANNOT sleep with wet hair. It drives me nuts!
So I always do mine during the day so it is plenty dry by the time I go to bed
The first time I washed my hair twice in one week, I considered it a major accomplishment. I still cringe at the amount of time it takes to do my hair, but I'm learning to look at the benefits and make the process more enjoyable. It's challenging enough being a single parent and having to be at work at 7:00am. Time always seems to fly by, but I'm now determined to give my hair the attention it needs regardless.
For me it's every other day for conditioner washes. Sometimes I rinse my hair under the shower without a lot of manipulation. Often at times I just mist my hair with distilled water. I really don't have a specific day to wash, but if it comes down to it, Saturdays would be the day to treat my hair.
Well I do conditioner washes every day or every other day. However, I designate a specific day for shampooing & deep conditioning, which is Sunday. I'm not sure why I came up with that particular day. I guess to have extra clean, fresh hair for the beginning of the week. Sunday is the day I prepare for the upcoming week.
I usually do my washes at the weekend because my hair is wave nouveau and it takes days to recover from washing, I prefer weekend cos I don't go out much.
I usually start the process on a saturday, as soon as I get up..that way I'll have more time available for the day. So if I start at 8am- I'll be done by 12pm, that includes wash, deep conditioning for 1hr, rollersetting, drying time and blow out.
Any more responces?
i do my stuff on sunday whenever i roll outta bed....its usually around 10am...i dont do much on sundays, so i just pop in a good movie and do my mayo deep condition...i usually leave that in for an hour or so...wash, condition and detangle...then i usually do my twists (if im doing wet twists...if im doing them dry then i wash on saturday) for the week...which takes a long time cuz i like them small...

no special day and time, just every 3 to 4 days -- if falls on a weekday, then I'm up a little later, if weekend, then it's a bonus . . . .
I condition wash every morning before going to work. I like co washing in the morning b/c I like having fresh hair. If I sleep on it, it more difficult to style in the morning.
I am setting aside sunday mornings to do deep conditioning every two weeks. If it works out that I won't be home on a sunday, I'll just do it saturday morning instead.
I try to plan my big wash day on the weekends either fri, sat or sunday. Because of my crazy work schedule the time of day usually varies. Depending on how my scalp is acting i may do some conditioner washes in between shampoos.
ive been washing on a wednesday lately. but im not sure why, i guess that always falls about a week from the last wash and its usually itchy on that wednesday. sine i decided to abandon my blowdrier ill probably wash fri night so i can airdry(takes 2 days) and flat iron on sunday =)
i wash whenever especially if i have been trying new gels. i hate having crunchy hair. lately i had been doing every other day conditioner washes but now that i am pressed i am gonna try and work with the press as long as possible and try to seabreeze/witch hazel my scalp.
I always wash on Saturday, because that is a free day for me to really deep condition and stuff. Throughout the week, I let my hair guide me. Whenever it starts to itch and depending on how much I've sweated during my workout then I will go ahead. I usually wash on Tuesday and Thursday for some reason!!!
My wash day is Sunday. Just from being at school, it's been my day to slow down from the weekend and relax so I take that time out to wash, condition, style. Plus I like to start off the week fresh and it's easy for me to count how many days in between that I've washed.
im weird but i enjoy washing my hair at night when everyone is asleep so i do it on a friday so i dont have to wake up early the next day. I find it relaxing since it is quiet and peaceful and i am alone with my hair. Its my "Me" time.
