Warning - Tight scalp

Hi-
I logged on really quick to let any ladies with a tight scalp know that it should be taken seriously! I went to the dermatologist and it turns out the tightness was due to inflamation due to an infection which in turn caused breakage. All of my crown is broken and the texture is so hard. He gave me steroids to help with the regrowth and I am putting light teatree oil on to help keep the area clean.

Just a warning. Pray for my hair !!! -ic

Sorry this happened to you. What types of things can you do to prevent this in the future after you are off the medication?

I don't mean to be nosey, but were you given predisone? I had to take a steroid for dermal inflammtion once.

Ballet bun I dont think the name is predisone, it is topical like water and I cant recall the name but i will check.

Tracey Annette I dont know how to prevent it other than the typical things of warding off bacteria like clean hands in hair, clean scalp etc. I would just make sure that if your hair is tight or itching to use something like tea tree oil/sea breeze on it just in case its bacteria but I am no expert.
