If it's not, Nupur or Jamilah, I will not use it. I feel terrible that this happened to her.

There's no such thing as black henna. You can mix BAQ henna with indigo to get a dark brown color. Also, you can do a two-step henna/indigo treatment to get black hair. Never, buy a henna product that says it will make your hair black all by itself :nono: Trust and believe it will have PPD in it, which caused her allergic reaction.

I've seen a few henna allergic reactions! So gross, sorry to say! It has always scared me, but I have not had a reaction as yet, praise jeebus! What is PPD?

Umm, I just watched the vid...she waited days before going to the ER, knowing that she was having a reaction? :look:

Thank you for this. Good to know.
ETA:... I've never used henna although I bought two bags of the stuff. I ended up throwing it away. I guess I don't really understand how it works or the long term effects of it.

This is so scary.. I frequently get my henna done on my hands by the Somalians and they use black henna! Thank God I've never had an allergic reaction. None of the somali women have either. I had no idea it was dangerous.
