Jumping in with my two cents... I echo the others, you have beautiful hair and a body most of us can only dream about. Congrats!

VWVIXXEN,

Your hair looks awesome. The progress is amazing. Did that Megatek conditioner help alot in terms of your progress?

Yes!! The MegaTek was THE staple last year that got me through the relaxer stretches, damaged ends, breaking and thin hair. This year i'm using it in concert with the Henna treatments and Garlic Shampoo, I don't have breakage to speak of anymore!

Bubblebtm2 (your name is cute!)

My regimen can be found in the links in my signature. The journal is updated almost everytime I do my hair, if I add a new product or do something different.

Don't you dare do that!!

Trust me, it's been a LOT of dedication and trial and ERROR to get it to where it is!

This time last year....was worse than a hot mess. :cry3:

Great progress girly, WTG keep it up, what's your hairlength goal now that you've got to this mark?
Taking notes from fitness journal....

Lucia, Thank you!!!

I've never really had a length goal before, I've always just wanted it healthy. That was my quest for 2006 but since it seems I've partially arrived at that goal already...looks like I need a goal modification so officially: I'm going for APL :weird:

BraStrap just seems too far to invision right now.

Wow
La La, Your hair has done a complete U TURN!!!!
:yep: :yay: :bud:
It looks beautiful, healthy and SHINY!!! (all blinged out)
Your boyfriend will be so pleased of your efforts because when you do meet again you WILL be at BSL.
Congratulations sweet heart and happy hair growing. :) #

Thanks Sweetie Pie!!

Well, I can't say I'm not a PJ anymore, I think I'm just in remission. Everytime I go to the India Store I see another oil I want to try, I'm just scared to stray away from what I've found that's working! :nono:

But my current staples are:

Conditioners:
MegaTek Hair Rebuilder (ya'll kNEW that was coming!!)
TiGi Dumb Blonde Reconstructor
DDTA (what am I gonna do when this is gone? :cry3:
Rivas Silicon Mix  (as a leave in on bunning days)

Shampoos:

Garlic Shampoo
Creme of Nature Conditioning Shampoo (can't say enough about this)
Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo

Oils:
Dabur Amla Oil (mineral oil and all, the results speak for themselves!)
Dabur Vatika Oil
Emu Oil
Better Botanicals Herbal Hair Oil
Parachute Coconut and Sampoorna Oils

Styling Aids:
BBD Glass Curling Creme
Fantasia IC Gel w/Sparklelites
Cantu Break Cure (for protecting my hair/ends on relaxer days, this is a keeper fo sho!!) :yep:
Sally's Generic Farouk Biosilk

Growth Aids:
MTG!! :bud:
Or my new found mix: (Emu Oil, BB Herbal Hair Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Sulfur Powder and Sesame Oil)

My products are mostly really simple, I think the biggest difference is how I TREAT my hair! It dawned on me this morning that changing my hair has been like my bodybuilding...a slow process of learning what works for me but well worth the efforts!

Thanks ladies!!

Vixxen,
I'm a professional lurker who has been forced out of hiding strictly due to your hair progress. You and Sistaslick make it hard for a committed lurker! This is literally my first post after almost 1 year of spying and it's all your fault. :) Your hair is beautiful and your commitment is inspirational. Since it's easier for me to try to emulate your hair rather than your body;), I have a few questions:

1) What brand of Garlic Shmappo do you use and where do you purchase?
2) What is your regimen for the MegaTek conditioner (DC or leave-in, frequency, etc)?

TIA and keep up the good work; I'm watching!

  That's an awesome post, thank you! Doesn't Sistaslick have some beautiful hair!!! I'm keeping my eyes on her too!! :yep:

1) For the garlic shampoo, the brand I use is by HairVite (it smells of Garlic). I purchased it at a local BSS for $2.99. I wanted to try the Nutrine brand but this works so well, I've not looked any further. :look:

2) With the Mega-Tek, lately it's been once a week as a CO Wash. I never use it as a deep conditioning treatment and it's too much protein for a moisturizing treatment though it doesn't dry the hair like some. When I first started using the Mega-Tek, last year, I'd use it EVERY CO wash because my hair was so damaged and dry. I used to also use it as a leave in with the MTG. The MTG grew it out and the MegaTek kept it from breakin' off!!

Hope that helps!! I'm glad your out of Lurkerdome for a while!

It ABSOLUTELY helps! Thanks so much!

P.S. I asked for forgiveness right after I replied "yes" when the lady asked if I had a horse when I purchased MegTek in the pet store today.
