I am nearly finished with my tube. I want the one in the jar because I heard that one is the official one. Am I right?

Sounds interesting. Never heard of it, what's in it? Right now I'm LOVING the shea mixture I made. It's raw shea, EVOO, coconut oil and a touch of vitamin E. Talk about taming the hair and added shine. WOOOOOO!

It contains Mineral Oil, Water, Beeswax, Aluminum Stearate, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Stearic Acid, Propylparaben and Calcium Oxide...erplexed
I have no idea what half this stuff is, however, the shine it gives is off the chain. I've been concerned lately because I've seen in a few posts that ingredients like 'Mineral Oil' and 'Beeswax' only coat the hair and don't actually moisturize.

^^I use what works for MY hair.

I use it in place of a shine serum. ..which has cones. ..which is also "not good" for your hair.

I do not follow hair cliques. If it works, I am sticking to it and if you also use it...hip, hip hooray! ...ya dig?!

for your hair, it's actually hazardous to your health
I WROTE ABOUT IT ON MY BLOG
I used to be a fan... not anymore especially
when they have so many healthier alternatives.
Mineral Oil is cheap... something companies
use to save money... if we stopped using their
products maybe they can UPGRADE and hook us up with some
coconut oil, safflower, almond or at least some EVOO...
sorry... ranting.

My mom used to use this years ago. I used it before I found LHCF, then decided to stay away from mineral oil and beeswax and threw it away. This year I decided to experiment with the old skool so I'm back with Vitapointe and loving it......

........notwithstanding the fact that I *know* that some say the ingredients are not good for us or our hair.

I used Vitapointe in the jar for years, then I stopped a few months ago because of the mineral oil. I still use it every now and then- you can't beat the shine it gives!

I have the jar and I LOVE it! The shine I get is out of this world! Yeah, the ingredients are crappy but I don't care. I only use a pearl size amount and it gets the job done. It goes on my hair, not my scalp so that's why I'm not concerned about the ingredients. I doesn't dry my hair out and my hair still feels soft by the end of the day. I think it is a great product !

I agree. Why change a formula if people keep buying the cheap mineral oil.

I remembered reading that the late Aaliyah used it in her hair and of course her hair was beautiful so i searched and searched for it and it was hard to find.

My mom used it back in the day as well. I wouldn't put it back on my hair now and I also use better alternatives like EVOO, almond, jojoba, etc.

We run around wondering why every other person has cancer and don't realize its what we eat, breathe in, rub on our skin, hair, etc.

Literally, people tell me their loved ones or friends have cancer and i've become immune to it because its so common now...we wonder why...

I have used the one in the tube and the jar and they're both the same. I didn't notice any difference. There is also a cheaper versin of this called VitaCreme. I have used this in the past but can't say if it works the same b/c then I wasn't really paying attention. I can say when I used the Fantasia IC Hair Polisher Shine Creme Leave In Daily Conditioner........I loved it. I loved the shine it gave. It provided more moisture than the vitapointe. I always wondered why my mom stoppeed buying this(back when I was using whatever she was using). I think I need to give this a try again.

my Mom used it back in the day before she close cropped her hair. when she started growing it out again I sent her the jar and she's been using it. I used to use the one in the jar when I relaxed and loved it but once I went natural my hair pretty much rejected it

In the past I always used the jar. But I no longer use this product. I think they may have changed the formula in the past 10 years because it used to work wonders for my hair.
