I am curious to know what vitamins are good for the health of your hair. I'm currently natural but my daughters relaxed hair is starting to show some breakage.

Hi you can do a search but most of the ladies (myself included) take a general multivitamin, biotin and or msm, there have been different success stories on the effectiveness on different people. Personally, biotin seems to have thickened my strands and MSM has made my skin and nails lush, and my new growth comes out less coily. For your daughter i would say check the children's forum they have some good regimens for kids HTH:)

ETA: That's assuming your daughter is a child? If not, just do a search for regimens to get an idea

I am now taking gnc ultra mega for women, 5000 mcg of biotin and 1000 mg of vit c, can anyone suggest something that might help with the length of my hair as it is a little beyond shoulder length.

I wonder how young you can be and take biotin, b-complex, or a hair vit?:ohwell: I was suggested to give one biotin a day to my 4 year old daughter for hair growth (she's already a few inches past an imaginary "bra strap" when straightened or wet, but when dry or lightly moisturized, shes resting on shoulders due to shrinkage - shes 3a or 3b). I havent gave her any hair vits yet, just flinstones vits:) . Also, i use WGO on her scalp at least twice a week (thinking about oiling it with vitika oil too) and yes, i cowash her hair regularly:grin:  !

You know Awesomely nappy, I was wondering the same thing as I have a 9 year old and want to give her biotin, she now takes a chewable vit for children that has a little biotin in it.

I wouldn't recommend hard core supplements for a child. What you should do is do a couple of searches on hair vitamins so you can identify what helps hair growth. Then make sure she is eating ample amounts of lean meats, vegetables, fruit and fish. You can also find omega fatty acids supplements designed for children.
