I'm about to add vitamins to my reggie and I was curious as to when those of you who contribute your growth to vitamins 1st saw an increase/change in your hair...you know how soon after you started to take them?

Literally within a week! I cannot go a long period without them or else my hair is dry, brittle and sheds no matter how much oil I use. It's like night and day!

I would say 1 month for me as far as the hair goes. But for my nails, it was within a week. I take GNC Hair, Skin, and Nails.

I've been on all the ones in my siggy since middle to end of March. I'll say I began to see the results of them this month. Like I looked and all of a sudden I was APL. Even last week I looked to the side in my mirror and just be like DANG when did it get there? My new growth comes in thick but it doesn't shrink much, if that makes sense, so I've noticed my hair getting longer before more eyes more than I ever have and I believe it has to do with the vits.

I started in April with Nature's Plus Ultra Hair Plus Vitamins
it has MSM & Biotin... but after reading a few hair books I saw
that I was missing Iron & Zinc... so now I use my Nature's Plus and
Cantrum for Kids SpongeBob vitamins... Flinstones don't have as much
iron & zinc as the Spongebob's have and the Spongebob's have biotin
anyway, I noticed my hair growth
a month after I began taking them
its supposed to take 3 months for you to really see
a visible difference of taking a nutrional supplement
according to "Dr. Perricone".
It works... give it three months...
if you're skeptical...
If you're like most people
or like me... you're always on the go
always eating on the go...
you probably aren't getting the vitamins you need
for your hair to reach its full potential
... that's my 2 cent ;o)

GOTTA LOVE THIS BOARD! LHCF Members rock! Thanks bunches!

I notice with my skin almost immediately, and my well boobs(MSM). I didn't think there was a huge difference with my hair initially cause i was co-washing and other stuff and thought the LUSHNESS of my hair was up to my regimen, but I was away from home and ran out of a couple of vits (biotin, viviscal esp) and although my hair was still growing it did not have the [the only word I can think of is] lushness - nice, soft looking, moist, and all the good stuff:lol:

I can say within a week of taking flaxseed oil, I noticed a HUGE difference. My hair was A LOT softer, and my scalp was no where near as dry as it is without it. I also take a couple of other vitamins which definitely gave my growth a big boost. HTH ;)

I take 2-1000mg gelcaps every day. By the way, Walgreens is having a vitamin sale this week, if you're interested.

With MSM did you notice weight gain all over or just on the upper deck?
