I have a friend that swears by using Vicks Vaporub on her scalp. She uses this on an almost daily basis and says that it calms the "itchies" down. I just don't know about this. I am always jumping on the bandwagon for all kinds of growth products, but this one is just too out there for me.

What do you guys think? Would you use Vicks Vaporub on your scalp?

I wouldn't doubt that. If I recall correctly from my baby's Vick's jar, it contains petrolatum, camphor, lavender and eucalyptus, all of which are known to be soothing.

Camphor tears my skin to pieces so its a pass for me. But vicks should in fact stop the itchies pretty well for those that can handle the ingredients.

Growthwise its a horse of another color though, and really don't see anything in it to promote hair growth.

*whispering* it's the massaging that is promoting the growth.
vicks has some good ingredients that will tingle your scalp. I would prefer not to use it. Whatever works, chica!

The tingles sounds like a good thing but I barely want to use vicks on my chest when I'm congested so I think I'll pass as well. I'm glad it is working for your friend though!:)
