Every time I get a touch up, my scalp gets very dry, but my hair looks good. So, if I oil my scalp or add some kind of moisturizer, my hair gets really limp. After a week or two, this is no longer a problem, and I use Optimum Oil Therapy Dry Hair and Scalp Healer on my scalp after washing a rollersetting.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can keep my scalp from getting all flaky after a touch up??

Conditioning it is the best advice. Only problem is you mess up your new do earlier than you would usually do.

I base my scalp. The last couple of times, I used shea butter and olive oil (infused with garlic). They were great.
