Lately I have not been happy with my hair. First the styles that i usually do weren't lasting or looking right. DUH the weather was changing so I had to put into acount of that. So then I adjusted my styling technique to braid/twist outs and wearing my 3/4 wigs that worked for a minute.

Then I purchased Nixion scaply therpy and cleanser. Well my hair dried out from those products...i think it's the only thing that was different in my regiment. So it took me about two to get some moisture back in my hair.

Then I began to start swimming due to fact my joints hurt with other exericses. If anyone swims on a frequent basics you know what kinds of problems can arise from that.

Now I just don't have the motivation to keep up with the regiment, kinda have that I don't care attitude and I hate it because I don't want my messed up attitude to have a adverse affect like causing damage to my hair because i am lazy. Right now my hair is still in a delicate state that I need to pamper it alot and I just don't have it in me to do it ALONG with my daughter's hair.

I hope i get out of this funk soon.:(

I understand how you are feeling. I had intentions on wearing my hair down for the summer but my hair is not to my liking. I've been trying different products which has not helped at all. I've been wearing a ponytail and a bun for the past two weeks. In August I am going to get braids so I can leave my hair a break.

I don't have my creative juices going either..I'm pretty good of thinking up styles or something but nothing comes to mind right now.

OOOh buddy...me + the pool + relaxed hair + laziness=disaster...I had to take a swim class my last year of undergrad and my hair did not like the treatment I gave it, so it jumped ship. All I can say is make sure you get that chlorine out after every swim and keep it well conditioned. hrow it in a wet bun if you have to, but keep babying it, or it will rebell.

I have no style suggestions, my daily style is a clipped up french roll with scarf headband.

I hope to get my juices going soon I hope atleast before school starts. I like to give my daughter a variety of different styles.

I wear a swimming cap when I'm in chlorine treated pools.
Have you tried writing your regimen down on paper? When I was having bad hair weeks and months I found it very helpful to write my regimen down. It allowed me to objectively look at the things I were doing and apply to see what was really helping or hurting my hair. It also allowed me to streamline my routine. I'm realizing that sometimes simple is better.

P.S.
I used to have really bad luck finding products that worked for my hair, but now I only try one group of products at a time and I don't try anything new until I've used it up (unless it's really bad). Sometimes it takes a while to see the benefits of various products.

I have not written it down...i guess i thought it was simple enough that i didn't have to write it down but maybe I do. It worth a try.

THE SWIM CAP, as child i used to get teased so i guess that fear has carried over so i won't buy one....i know sad.

I want to go swimming today but just not sure becuz i relaxed yesterday...is it a bad idea to go swimming....OH I have to say I don't put my whole head in the water either...I on this spagetti floatation thingy and i just do laps in the pool using my legs so from chest up in out of the water...I ocassionally get spashed by my kids so my hair is never soaken wet just damp in some areas.

what do you guys think?

Hmm, not sure about waiting after a relaxer to go swimming. IF you're unsure, NOW may be the time to go ahead and put the swim cap on, at least for a couple of weeks post relaxer.

What about braids? Or if you like wearing hair out, you could try tree braids. This way your hair is protected and your styling demands are minimized. You wear those 3/4 falls so well that I actually thought it was your hair, so I can't imagine you not liking your hair. It always looks so nice. So I would even say keep doing those and maybe try a slightly different color for a change of pace.

As far as the Nioxin, I read to try a product out for at least two weeks before deciding if it will work for you. This gives your hair time to adjust. After applying the scalp treatment, can you add extra moisture via a humectant condish? OR maybe try deep conditioning before you poo your hair with a humectant condish, then follow up with the scalp treatment.

Diva,
Those are good ideas didn't think of that. I really really want to go swimming:( but it is best.

It's time for another 3/4 wig aleast a straight like I have been wearing.
Braids I only get a wild hair up my but about braids every couple years or so....Money is tight too

Well I'm head home so i will hit you ladies up later or either tomorrow.

Just find you a natural moisturizer like coconut oil, or avocado butter, and just bun your hair:) It'll be out of the way, and you can retain length all the while!!!
