Who uses it on their hair? How do you use it? I'm thinking of using it over my moisturizer and then doing a twist-out. I'm hoping it will provide light hold and add shine.

Thanks ladies

This woman at work uses it on her natural hair and I've been working there for 3 years and her hair is still ear length. She swears by it but I have not seen how it improves her hair. That is why I never use it. I see a testament to its ill effect on the hair every day.

There are a few ladies on this board who used it :yep:. I think the key was the moisturizer under the Vaseline because the Vaseline helps hold the moisture in.

Everything doesn't work for everybody, so I guess try it, and if it works for you, roll with it,.

Make sure to do a Vaseline search, and IIRC sparkling flame was using it for her and/or her daughter's hair at some point. HTH

This girl with past but length hair melts it and uses it and her hair is  but I've never tried it personally.

This was one of the people I was thinking of when I typed my response:yep:.

I think the Vaseline thing is similar to the water and grease from childhood days. A lot of little girls with crazy thick, long ponytails back in the day would get asked, " What does your mom use on your hair?" The answer was usually water and grease.

I'm sure it didn't work for some people:nono:, but for the people it worked for :thud:

Water and good old Vaseline is what my mom used on my hair as a child, it did not harm my hair, and yes it was long and thick. :yep:

I have some 100% Pet Jelly that I use with my daughter, it's not a staple though, as for me, my hair is too thin for vaseline, it's too thick and makes my hair sticky.

I've heard of using it on your skin but my hair?! LOL My hair wouldn't even move if I put vasaline on my hair. Wouldn't that clog your hair follicles? Whatever floats your boat. lol

I have been using African Braids Spray as a moisturizer and use grease or vasaline over it. I don't use a lot just a dime size amount and my hair is a little pass BSL. I think DLewis uses it or she did.

I remember the Vaseline on ends bandwagon. While I didn't jump on it, it never seemed strange to me since Wanakee used to have a product called Constant Care for Ends IIRC and it looked and felt just like Vaseline. It was supposed to seal your ends from the drying air.
