Using 2 Curlformers on one strand

Has anyon etried using 2 curlformers on 1 strand. Does it still give the same results

I tied it on my hair dry because one was not long enough it seem to hold reallywell

I guess it depends how much extra hair is left? Maybe if you don't have it grip the roots so close or put rollers on the ends if that doesn't work out.
