Hi y'all.
I updated my pics with my touch up yesterday.I used the Affirm Regular relaxer system and covered my yellow and rust highlights with adore mahogany rinse.

My touchup experience was scary I was only 8 weeks post touch up but my hair was shedding like crazy before and today my stylist combed out like a fistful of hair

But the surge is working and my hairline is filling in.

I think she made it harder on herself by how she neutralized the shampoo rubbing all of the hair together...matting my hair up!!! Her assistant combed my conditioner through and said "your hair tangles really fast!".

It does!

Anyways I did not trim and now I wanted advice on what styles or methods I should use to fill in that bottom layer I think is thinning out. Like Leejure I think my wet bun days are numbered

because they are hindering the growth back there causig some breakage.

Do you think I should trim to cut out the layers? (I really want this to be the last option since I am just growing back from a trim in Feb)

HELP PLEASE

Thank you alliyah4eva203!
I edited the photos to add a black and white pic in the Summer 2004 album to show the "see through" layer".

Side Story
My hairdresser told this girl who was there we trimmed a couple weeks ago so the next time you come for a colour we will see how your hair comes out and trim again. Then after she took out the girl's wrap and molded the style she whips out the scissors and cuts an inch off in like 2 or 3 spots so that she had the "perfect bob". ....Hmmm maybe that girl is not going for length but she certainly could not have done that with me.

Your hair looks beautiful!

I don't think you should trim either, at least not yet...let your hair grow as it is...just to see how it grows....if the bottom will catch up a little, and then if later down the line, your ends start to look REALLY thin and see through due to the bottom layer, then I would trim a little.

I would wait on trimming until u reach your goal hair length or past your goal hair length. That is what I am doing. my hair is so uneven but Im really just afraid to get a trim because I think whoever trims it will cut too much off. my mom has been the one who always trimmed my hair but when i went to a stylist, they would trim too much. So make sure u feel comfortable with any decision u make

Cosigning....the back of my hair looks the same way, but I decided to wait until it grows out some more before trimming again.

I think your hair looks nice and you don't "need" a trim. However, I think getting a trim depends on your goal. Are you trying to gain length or are you trying to get rid of layers? If you're trying to get rid of your layers, I would get a small trim. If not, let it keep growing.

I think i will hold off on the trim unless i see breakage. I reread Supergirl's SHS thread and I am sure now a trim is not for me.

Thank you all for the compliments and reassurance.
