yesterday i posted a thread about my hair not being able to handle chemicals. Well, one of the members suggested a really good moisturizer DC because it sounded like I had protein overload. I wanted to use Joico Recovery but BSS was sold out so I opt for Nexxus Humectress. My hair was just soaking it up so I put more on until it was really coated. I left it on for about 15min and WOW what a difference. My hair feels really soft and I wasn't scared to comb it. Now, my question is should I trim the side that went through the protein damage and should I do this DC 1x a week or every other day??

um, I would wait to trim. Maybe a small small dusting. I don't want that you cut too much and then your hair is lopsided, especially if that area is growing slow. I would just keep babying that area.

I don't think you should do a cut yet. Maybe dust if you really feel the need, but I'd say wait it out for a bit.

And if your hair is that thirsty I'd say DC every 3 or 4 days versus once a week. How do you style your hair on the regular?

its currently in a weave with the top left out. Considering the top was the only part tex relaxed I'm hoping and praying that the rest of my hair is fine. I'm almost sure that the straight hair has broken off to the new growth. Since I get my next install in another week I'm just going to have my hairdresser dust the ends and put a full weave in with a closure.
