Okay so I have uneven lengths its not like a huge gap or anything but I wanted to do a heavy protein treatment to protect against breakage. Would you trim it at all? Also if you would trim/dust would you do it before or after?

Only trim if it's bothering you, or if you have splits. I grew out from a BC too, I never trimmed to make it even. It didn't bother me when I was natural because most styles camouflage it.

When I was natural, I would trim after I did all my conditioning and styling and everything.

I agree, only trim if it's bothering you. I have a lot of hair now and I trimmed just before Christmas and made it even more uneven than it was...

I would leave it alone unless it's really bothering you. I have uneven hair right now from growing out a BC and I won't be cutting until I can have a blunt chin length bob. Until then I'm fine with it.
