The only thing is... if you're correcting a relaxer that you did with no lye, you have to use no lye again.... the same thing with lye.

I don't it's safe to have hair that is chemically altered with both no lye and lye relaxers...

but I could be wrong too, I just remeber reading it.

I'm sure that someone else would know for sure

I just did a corrective relaxer on my hair on april 9th. My last touch up was in december so I waited 16 weeks before touching up. In december, I used cream of nature no lye relaxer on my hair. Last week, I used motions moisturizing lye relaxer. After reading Shamboosie's book on lye vs no lye relaxer, I thought it best to switch. I havent had any breakage or shedding by putting the lye on top of the no lye. My hair feel great and looks good. The relaxer was first applied to the new growth only then for the last five minutes or so, it was placed on the rest of my hair all over . It turned out great, and I must say, I'm very happy with the results.

What i did is waited 5 weeks after the underprocessing with no-lye and switched to lye. My hair is fine, it did not break off. HOwever, right after the underprocessing, I did an aphogee treatment to streghthen my hair.
