How can you tell if your hair is underprocessed?

If my hair is underprocessed it tends to revert a couple of a weeks or sooner after relaxing. This is how I know Im underprocessed.

If my hair does not look straight (but the original kink is gone) when I'm finished relaxing the new growth, then it's underprocessed.

How do you correct underprocessed hair?

At your next relaxer (preferably 6/8 weeks from your last) tou apply the relaxer over the underprocessed sections for the last 5 minutes or so. However, if done incorrectly, it can lead to breakage. Do a search on corrective relaxers, there are quite a few threads. My whole head except my roots are underprocessed, I have slowly learnt to live with it.
