It's meant to be used as part of your conditioning treatment, I think. I had it done at the salon and my hair had conditioner in it. It's supposed to help the conditioner penetrate the hair shaft better. I think it may also be used with hair color hair as well.

If you use it on dry hair, how do y ou get your hair dry? I'm trying to avoid as much heat as possible.

I airdry in a bun so it comes out semi- smooth then I curl with the steam rollers.

I'm not sure what you mean how do you get the hair dry?

You're hair will be dry once you take the rollers out. According to your hair type you will leave the rollers on the steam for a specific time. My hair is fine so I let the rollers steam for 3-5 seconds.

Steam rollers are not damaging like curiling irons can be. You can use them daily without damage. The rollers are damp when you put them in from the steam but dry very quickly.

I use it on dry hair and leave it in for about 5-10 mins and my hair is dry.

At home I will wash and let air dry with WGO and leave in products in my hair. Then use the steam rollers. Once I take them out my hair looks like I curled it with a curling iron.

I also wash my hair sometimes in the gym so I let it dry in a bun, and when I get home I spray each section with hot six oil (ends and roots) and use the steam rollers. It is very shinny and bouncy and dry.

I spray a little Hot six oil on my ends

I have experienced some dampness after the set when I used Caruso rollers in the past. My tips:

Don't let the rollers or covers get soaking wet with steam.

Maybe wave a blowdryer over your head with the curlers in and let the curls set.

When you take the curls down let them "rest" and don't "comb" until absolutely dry.

I only use my fingers to arrange these curls.
