What brand are you using, what are the prices and how well does it work for frizzy hair? Does it cause damage?

i currently use a babyliss brand which I bought for about £50 three years ago and it works just fine for me. Its probably gone down in price now.

i'm using the nicky clarke kinder4hair flat iron( got on sale for 24 pounds used to be 45 i think) it's the first flat iron i actually like it has infared, ceramic and tourmaline and it's ionic as well ,it actually makes my hair feel better after using it so i'm guessing minimal damage but i don't use it often enough to truly tell ,i'm still somewhat fiddling with the temperatures because the lowest temp will straighten my newgrowth but after a few mins my hair ends of hard to comb again so i will hair to try a higher temp next time. hth

I use the GHD's I bought them about three years ago when GHD's were the best on the market, my hairdresser swears by them also, they were around £90 then (probably a little cheaper now). They're ceramic and use infrared heat and all that good stuff, they warm up in about five seconds and are the only straighteners I've found that get my extra kinky regrowth straight. Unfortunately they don't have a temperature gauge so can get very hot. There's tons of GHD like straighteners nowadays for even cheper though.

I bought a GHD also. It's the first and only flat iron I've ever had so I can't really compare it. I do wish it had a temp gauge also though.

I just have this feeling that I could have paid less and still gotten a decent flat iron though.......
