I am going crazy right now....I originally decided I would do PS or LM styles long-term like 4-6 weeks. BUT then I decided rather quickly that was just not going to work! So then I decided every two weeks which is actually going pretty well--BUT I am ITCHING to do my hair right now and I've only completed week 1---these are the factors contributing to my itch I think:
  • was excited and expecting my curlformers to come (but they didn't so I am ok with waiting until next weekend)
  • I tried something different at my last shampoo sesion last weekend and I want to try it again to see if it was a fluke
  • I want to see if a braidout will be cute
  • I am starting to doubt that 1x every two weeks will be good enough if my hair isn't in braids/twist or pressed
THEN I saw this girl with this BOMB two strand twist style last night and I would love to try it out BUT:
  • I vowed no salons in 2010
  • I dont think I can two strand twist the back of my hair like that myself
Then I keep seeing images and girls with textlaxers and I'm like oohh a textlax may look really really cute and I could try a lot of whole new things BUT:
  • it's really not want I want for myself
  • I really want to see if I can reach my goals 100% natural
  • you can't take it back or do over it someone messes it up which with my luck they probably will
So I say all that to say I call my momma, my friends, my husband etc., and they all look at me with the :look:....they JUST DON'T GET IT!!

So I love I can come here and yall kinda get it!! Wouldn't it be nice if we had like Hair Buddies that we can just talk to about hair, get honest and knowledgeable responses from about our hair; ask them if "my hair feels like it needs a DC or some protein" and they will know what we are talking about, ask for help with our styles, etc...

This thread really is just me rambling so I'm sorry but I just HAD to get this out! I used to HATE doing my hair--like avoided it like the plague and hid behind all types of stuff to avoid it (to the detriment to my hair)--but now that I am starting to really understand different things about my hair and how to work with it I just feel like talking hair, thinking about my hair, and wanting to try things out ALL THE TIME!!!
