UBH deep conditioner...

So, i've heard that this conditioner is good but it would be great to actually hear from those who have used this before to please give me a review of this product? I'm so close to buying this product that i can taste it!!!

Girl you know this is like my staple. I loooove this conditioner and everything that it has done for my hair. It does tingle, but it helps to really cut down on breakage. When I started using this is when I started to see my hair retain length. I think this product does exceptionally well at helping retain length and overall strengthening hair. I probably will not use another deep conditioner for awhile...two thumbs up for me!

I really like the conditioner, the tingle is great and it does strenghten my hair. I do add honey for extra moisture. If you want something that gives your hair a lot of slip, UBH cond. probably will not do that.

I'm with the other ladies on loving the way it tingles on my scalp. I used it every week for about 2 months, but unfortunately it didn't really do much for my hair.

The problem is my hair is fine, the conditioner is STRENGTHENING. For me, that means hard, tangled hair. It has peppermint oil. So it's tingly!

At this point in time, If I were to use it again. I would follow with a deep moisturizing conditioner. Overall, I think it is a good conditioner.

I used it and I thinked my hair responded but because I'm a PJ I'm easily distracted, Glamour Girl Got me using it again I read one of her update post and I was so inspired I ordered the big bottle. I will take my hair down from my hide my hair today, but because of the challenge restrictions I can not post pics.. I will let you know though. I do think the price is a bit steep.

Lol I'm glad I got u using it again. The price can be a big steep but if you ordered the big bottle it will last soooo long. My last bottle lasted about a year. I hope that it works well for you!

Good advice. It actually states this on the back of the conditioner bottle, I just looked at it last night.

It states to follow up with a more moisturizing conditioner due to the tangling that it may cause because of using the conditioner with heat.

It is a good conditioner. I got my godsister using it two years agao and her hair has improved so nicely.

I agree, the tinging is nice, but this is definatly a streghtning conditioner rather than a deep moisturizing condtioner. My hair never felt great after using it.

I make a homemade version of this with Mane and Tail conditioner, coconut oil, olive oil and peppermint oil. I like it.

I wasn't really feelin the deep conditioner. I mean i absolutely love the tingle, so i probably will use it agian. but it is entirely TOO expensive. I didn't see any immediate results and it idn't do anything special. I suppose with constant usage it will stop hair breakage....but that is with any protein conditioner. In my opinion...if your product is going to be super expensive then it must be something special and you can tell immediate results. Like with Emergencee or keracare, you can clearly see that you get less breakage after first use. So anyways i just think its overpriced and i think its a good product but the price is wayyyyy to expensive. so i choose nexxus instead. but her daily moisturizers, i think are worth the price because they soften the hair and there isn't any mineral oil nor protein...so that is the 'something special' you are getting for the expensive price.

Great product. It is a conditioner/ protein treatment. After using under the hooded drier for 20 min,I rinse and I follow up with one of my other favorite moisterizers. It has strengthened my hair tremendously.

I have the dew and the Lotion too. But my favorite is the conditioner treatment. Stimulates, Lubricates and Conditions the hair.

I got this conditioner because of SerenityBreeze and I've been using it since July 2006 (I got the big bottle - I still have half left). I have to say that it really has turned my hair around. Its added so much strength to my hair.

But I have to say that its not a light protein treatment at all. I mix a little Humecto with it, to make it more moisturising and it works so much better for me this way. I hated it at first because it gave me so many tangles! Even with using a deep moisturising conditioning treatment after (though this did help a lot).

But I love it now.

I've been using this conditioner since June 06 and I will keep it as a staple in my stash!! It definately is NOT made to give the hair slip but more to strengthen with protein and tingle, tingle, tingle!! I used to use after washing and then sitting under the heat cap. Now I pre-poo with it on dry hair 1st with the plastic shower cap and heat cap for NO MORE than 20 min. Then I follow with a moisturizing poo and a moisturizing conditioner, like Silk Elements mega silk and leave that on about 10 min with shower cap but no heat. This combo has been great. I try to use UBH conditioner at least 2 x per month and I wash once per week. I also keep the UBH hair lotion as a staple too. I definately think my hair has benefited because it is stronger and I lose less hair daily. HTH!

lol, thats so funny you said that because I used to do that when I first started using the product over the summer. I wasnt on the board yet either. And then I followed up with the dew. I was like why is my hair so hard. But, it made my hair stronger and I liked the tingles stimulating my scalp. I read the bottle but back then I didnt know what a rinse was. But now I follow up with silk elements luxury conditioner and it really makes my hair strong and moisturized. I also use the creme moisturizer now.

My sister gave me her bottle because she wasn't really impressed with it, other than the tingle. So I was looking for a different way to use it other than just as an after-shampoo conditioner, and of course you know I would find that way here at LCHF. Someone suggested mixing it with AO GPB and applying to dry hair as a pre-poo. That's how I use it, adding a little jojoba oil and peppermint EO, and sit under a heat cap for 30 minutes to an hour. The tingle is off da hook! Then I shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo and condition with EMB/Lustrasilk Shea Butter-Mango. I love this combo. It really strengthens in between my hardcore protein treatments. My super-fine hair is never hard from this conditioner using it this way. You gotta try it!

This stuff has zero slip. When my hair was relaxed bone straight, I thought it was ok, but as my texlaxed hair grew out, this conditioner fast became my enemy--tangles, tangles, tangles and dry hard hair! Now, I do a modified homemade version based on her principles of a conditioner needing protein and oil. I use the slipperiest, thickest, moisturizing condish that I can find, slap in some sebastian penetraitt and throw in some evoo (2:1:1 ratio, there was a thread about mixing up your own condish in the past). This has been working wonders and I can still comb my hair!!!

This is a really quality product. It stops the breakage and shedding. I quit it because of my PJism and the shipping costs but other than that it was good for me. And with some protein conditioners it is suggested that you follow up with a lite moisturizing conditioner to make your hair soft. I do that whenever I use this product.

I have been using UBH deep conditioner since the end of August 2006... I love this product. The peppermint oil that is in it tingles and stimulates my scalp..what an invigorating feeling

Yea the tingling is definitely amazing. I just have it collecting dust under my sink though because it had noooooo slip. I havent tried it with a moisturizing conditioner so I will try this on my next wash. I hope it works out tho. It gave my hair great strength, but made it so dry. This stuff is no joke. But like I said, I will follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. Her dew is excellent by the way.

yeah definitely use a leave in afterwards to give u slip. I use a leave in tangle defense spray after using my UBH deep conditioner... otherwise I couldn't comb thru my hair w/out tangles.

Trimbride, I tried making my own batch too but it was garbage. I used the mane and tale but it just wasn't strong enough. I guess I'll try with another conditioner whenever I get the time. The tingle makes my scalp feel like it's on fihah!!! Love it! The only thing that came close to that sensation was a DOminican product called Cinnamon Y Sole but that product did nothing for my hair.

I have this conditioner but I haven't used it yet because I've been using the homemade version long before it came. I may never order it again because I absolutely love the homemade version.
