Here are mine...

Taking an hour to sraighten my hair (it looked bloody good too)then going to the beach after 6pm = frizzy/curly bush within 5 minutes !!
Continued to put vaseline on ends while in very hot countries, nothing really bad happened but I think i fried them a bit.
Not doing a proper trim back in August..4 weeks later knots from hell and baby dreadlocks. Never ever again!
Experimented and did 5 self heating hot oil treaments in one week = hair dry as a bone.
Went and bought the cheapest hooded dryer I could find (conair from walmart $22)..yes its absolute cr*p and no I dont still have the receipt !!!

Well they say that misery loves company so...Who's next?

LOL! I am sitting under the lovely ConAir at the moment myself /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif I will DEFINITELY be bringing back the good ol' Lady Dazey the next time I go home! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Coloring my hair and then deciding to stop .

I hate the transition back to my original color but refused to use color to make my ends match my roots.

I'm just not lovin' the two-tone hair right now.

Letting my aunt do my hair last month, now when I need her to do it, she can't be found, should have stayed with my stylist, who hasn't called me back...lesson learned...never do business with family.

Laziness does catch up w/ you. All the repair is harder than just taking care of business from the start. The lost hair just isn't worth it.

Letting some arbitrary lady at a salon that I had visited before trim and relax my hair= no deep conditioner, use of fine toothed comb to detangle, and chopped off way too much!

Not towel drying. Water is good, probably the best of things, but just letting my hair dry in the house leaves my hair vulnerable to fungal colonies, which give it a "swampy" smell.

not allowing the length of my plaits to dry, before covering with the baggie cause my ends to break a little, i suppose my hair is more fragile when wet.

Coloring over and over and over again is...SUPRISE...not so good for the hair. Makes it kinda unhappy. /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif But seriously, I really know my coloring limits now. I still have a LOT of leeway, I just went a bit too far.

Trimming is a GOOD thing. I was sacrificing some health for length, and I didn't even realize it. My recent cut/big trim has shown me the error of my ways. I don't plan on going around trimming willy nilly, but I'm going to make sure I do it regularly as I grow my hair out again.

I let the girl who normally braids my hair use gel on the front of my hair even though it wasnt needed.. and you know that junk started turning white so i had to take my braids out early. Taking a break from her.. a girl in my cosmet class will be braiding my hair this time..

Not applying a protein treatment in the week after coloring my hair. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Interesting. I've never experienced this and I never towel dry. I'm glad you were able to figure it.
