Glib Gurl, why are you looking for silicone free products if humidity effects are what you're trying to prevent? Silicone products are what keeps humidity from getting into your hair, and why silicone is in a lot of products for straightened hair.

Nonie - Wait, nevermind. I consulted my blog and see that I figured this out a while back . . . guess I just forgot. These are still great suggestions, though, for stuff I can use in the winter

Glib Gurl You most certainly do. Glycerin is a humectant. Silicone is an anti-humectant. It blocks moisture.
