twist style??

Has anyone had or seen that hairstyle where instead of individual braids, they are twisted instead?

If it is kinky twist they can be done with human or sythetic hair. The hair is braided at the root and twisted to the end.

Okay I think that is different. I'm not sure how those are done.

I've heard that sometimes the first part of hair section is braided and then the rest is twisted (with gel, I assume).

Senegalese twists look twisted the whole length of the hair, like in the link provided below.

If you look close, you can see it is braided at the base and the rest is twisted.
