I love how this looks like a french braid. This is a great style for us ladies who don't know how to cornrow/french braid. I picked up this technique from a loc pin up tutorial, where this technique was started at the nape.
I'll do my best to explain.
1. Using your left hand and starting at the crown, take a small section of twists from left side and cross it to the right and end it at the center. Keep your hand there.
2. Using your right hand, take twists from the right and cross it over the twists from the left, (you should have an X). Remove your left hand and allow for the right hand to hold down the twists.
3. Using the left hand, take another small section from the left and cross it over the twists from the right. Remove your right hand and allow for the left hand to how down the twists.
Repeat 1-3 until you've reached your nape, then secure with bobby pins or a hair clip. For any twists that come out from the side, simply tuck in.
